American Review of Public Administration last two years has articles reprinted from 2013 & 2014. Is this typical in the Public
I am supposed to find an article from the past two years for a class and the Journal I picked has articles reprinted from 2013 &2014 in all of its 2015 and 2016 editions. Is this typical in this field because there is not much new research? I am in FOSEM 310 and we discussed the skyrocketing price of Journals; seems like we should at least get some new information for the money the library has to put out! But maybe this is typical in this field. Thanks for your help with this.
I am sorry, but the librarians are not as familiar with the content in this area as the researchers/scholars. Perhaps the faculty in the area can comment on this regularity of this questionable procedure.
There are some publishers who reprint conferences as special issues, and that can result in duplication on occassion. We do look for these types of behavios and demand our subscription dollars back. This is happening far less now than in the past.
We will look into this.
Thanks for the notification.
