Practical applications for teaching math by using games can be found in such SXU library collection titles such as

“Math for All Seasons: Mind-Stretching Math Riddles”

“Anno's Math Games II”

Available articles include "Math In the Newspaper" by Loa May,  offering suggestions for developing math skills using sections of the newspaper such as the comics to develop reasoning, sports statistics and percentages, business and financial calculations, and number puzzles as examples.
